Wire Shelving Bays, Laminate Lockers and Modular Racks at Sunshine Coast University Hospital
The Queensland Government is investing $1.8 billion in a new public tertiary teaching hospital on the Sunshine Coast to meet growing demands for hospital services and to train the local health workforce of the future.
The new tertiary teaching hospital will open in a stage approach in 2017 with around 450 beds and ramp up to 738 beds by 2021, with capacity to be expanded to 900 beds beyond that time if needed. Sunshine Coast University Hospital will form part of the Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Services network of hospitals that include Nambour General Hospital, Caloundra Health Service, Gympie Hospital, Maleny Soldiers Memorial Hospital and a comprehensive range of community and primary health services.
IntraSpace assisted Lendlease with the design and specification of all shelving and storage solutions on this project. The scope covered approx. 280 rooms and included 663 IntraMed wire shelving bays, 1059 Laminate lockers, 564 FileStor Universal shelving bays, 15 Pharmacy shelving bays and 835 IntraMed Modular Racks.
